Structure over shortcuts
We organize learning around real textbooks, chapters, and lessons — not random AI chat. Students always know where they are in their learning path.

We are building AI tutoring that follows the textbook, not the other way around.
Most AI learning tools work like a search engine — students type a question, get an answer, and move on. The problem is that learning does not work that way. Real understanding comes from working through a structured sequence: learn the concept, practice the skill, then challenge yourself with harder problems.
Pengi is built around this idea. Every lesson on Pengi maps to a real chapter in a real textbook — the same books students use in their classrooms. When a student opens Pengi, they see their textbook, their chapter, their lesson. The AI tutoring follows this structure rather than generating generic explanations.
We cover 100+ textbooks across math, science, and history for grades 3 through 11. We also offer dedicated preparation for math competitions like the AMC 8, AMC 10, and MATHCOUNTS — because structured practice matters for competition math just as much as it does for schoolwork.
Our goal is simple: make the quality of tutoring that used to require a $100-per-hour private tutor accessible to every student with an internet connection.

Pengi guides students through problems step by step. We never just hand over solutions — we help students build the reasoning to solve problems on their own.
Quality tutoring should not cost $100 an hour. Core Pengi content is free, and paid plans are a fraction of what private tutoring costs.
We cover math, science, and history aligned to 100+ textbooks — plus AMC and MATHCOUNTS competition prep. We would rather do fewer subjects well than many subjects poorly.
