Key Idea
The final challenge transforms the investigation into an engineering task: proposing a fix to prevent the stunt failure. The goal is to manipulate variables—specifically mass and friction—to alter the outcome. Effective proposals might include applying a high-friction material (like rubber mats) to the surface.
Crucially, this proposal must be backed by a scientific prediction based on the Force-Velocity Model. The reasoning follows a clear causal chain: increasing surface roughness increases the force of friction exerted opposite to the car's motion.
