Defining Mass

All objects possess mass, defined as the amount of matter an object contains. Beyond just "weight," mass represents a fundamental physical property that exists regardless of gravity.
In the context of motion, mass serves as the measure of inertia. Objects with high mass have high inertia, meaning they strongly maintain their current state. Objects with low mass have low inertia. This definition establishes mass as a critical variable in any motion equation.
